WILD FIRES
Increasing in the frequency and severity of wild fires worldwide are in part climate change related, with drought, rising temperatures and shorter winters exacerabting conditions. In the U.S. the frequency of wildfires has increased by 400% since the 70’s, with parts of California, Colorado, Arizona, and New Mexico most impacted. Fires burned six times the area that was previously affected and lasted five times longer. We are TEDS are focused on helping develop resilience to (and the reduction of) wild fires, through design, planning, research and policy changes.
